ThermoActive Plus™ Lumbar Orthosis
The ThermoActive Plus™ Lumbar Orthosis combines our ThermoActive™ Back support with a heat moldable Anterior and Posterior Panel Support. Noridian Administrative Services, the PDAC contractor for CMS, has officially approved our ThermoActive Plus™ Lumbar Orthosis to meet the requirements of L-Code L-0627 for reimbursement. The posterior panel on the ThermoActive Plus™ Lumbar Orthosis extends from the sacrococcygeal junction to the T-11 vertebra. The panel itself is approximately 10 ¾” in height and 12” in width. The front panel, which provides additional support near the abdomen region is approximately 5” in height and 8 ½” in width. These panels easily attach to the support with traditional hook and loop fasteners. They can be heated, molded, and adjusted to fit the patient’s anatomical requirements. The panels can be heated in 3 ways:
(1) Placed on a flat warming tray for approximately 3 minutes
(2) Heat in Hydrocollator™ (trademark of Chattanooga Group Inc.)
(3) “Spot” adjusted with a heat gun or full strength hair dryer.
The panels can then be used either with or without the gel pack depending on your treatment requirements.
Indications: Lumbar injuries strains, Thoracic injuries and strains, Post-Surgical recovery, back muscle soreness and spasms, Sciatica, SI Joint pain, arthritis
